To keep our swimmers safe we need twenty-one kayak and SUP volunteers for Up the River Downtown Marathon Swim Race. This is the first ever marathon St Johns River open water race. What we are doing:
Volunteer kayak support crew will escort swimmer waves approximately 10k from JU to the Fuller Warren Bridge at Riverside Arts Market There will be a lead kayak and a sweep kayak assigned to each wave.

Paddlers equipment to bring: Two personal flotation devices, and a whistle. We can issue this equipment at the dock if needed.
Schedule:
06:45 Arrive at Dock. We will issue Personal Flotation Devices, Floating Tow Ropes and whistles to those who need them.
