To keep our swimmers safe we need twenty-one kayak and SUP volunteers for Up the River Downtown Marathon Swim Race. This is the first ever marathon St Johns River open water race.  Lets make Jacksonville and St. Johns River history on Saturday morning, September 22nd.  Paddlers, please report to the dock by 6:45 am.

 

What we are doing:

Volunteer kayak support crew will escort swimmer waves approximately 10k  from JU to the Fuller Warren Bridge at Riverside Arts Market There will be a lead kayak and a sweep kayak assigned to each wave.

Paddlers equipment to bring: Two personal flotation devices, and a whistle. We can issue this equipment at the dock if needed.

Schedule:

06:45 Arrive at Dock. We will issue Personal Flotation Devices, Floating Tow Ropes and whistles to those who need them.
